Northern Powergrid has launched a campaign to promote the visibility of community energy organisations across the North of England.
The North has historically seen less community energy activity than other areas of England, but this is changing rapidly. It’s essential that organisations connect with other like-minded groups to access support and maximise opportunities, but visibility is often a problem.
With this in mind, Northern Powergrid has developed a collaborative online map for community energy organisations to use. Organisations can simply add a marker to the map, type in their name and a description of their work, and click save to join the campaign.
Northern Powergrid hopes this will highlight local community energy efforts and help to promote peer networking.
